Another issue is those who detransition… they are shunned and silenced.

I am a health care provider and I worked for a day recovering patients from gender reassignment surgeries…testicle implants, everything. Before being discharged they must void (go pee) one patient exclaimed in distress, “ I don’t even know which hole or where the pee is supposed to come from!”… at the time I didn’t know either. And not sure I know even to this day.

I believe that most of the trans issue is body dysphoria, which is psychological… and medically you should not treat mental health issues with surgery and hormones. Do we give liposuction to people suffering from anorexia?

Surgery or hormones does not improve rates of suicide in this population. Children and teenagers are a vulnerable population, especially with their developing bodies and insecurities. They should be protected.

Thank you for addressing this topic in a fair and sensitive manner. It is heartening to hear that the guest Trisha Posner has been able to present this information without being attacked. That gives some courage to the rest of us.

A friend of a friend has a very close encounter with the transgender “agenda”. Which ultimately led to the FBI being involved. Small conservative town in Southern California found that online adult groomers and LGBT teachers that were encouraging students in high school to provide parents with template letters stating they were trans. The principle had a whole stack of them when the parent went to ask what was going on. The teachers would ask the student if they feel like their parents would accept them, and then the student would say, my parents would be mad. Then the teacher would report the parents to child protective services. The child fled the state with one of the parents and stopped all social media. After time the child decided they were not trans.

Your ages are showing. While I am 60 years old, I understand that there is a new generation with new ideas coming up behind us. While I agree with the issues surrounding women in sports, and that there needs to be work on this, I also understand that it will take time for laws and culture to catch up with these social realities. The fact that a bunch of us older folks feel uncomfortable with these social challenges is nothing new. It is how change happens.

Thank you for the commentary. The agist comments aside, women in sports is but one front. So much progress in professions and throughout society are at risk. Please listen carefully to our guest - she is not objecting to social challenges, she is asking to not be erased in the process. Thank you for listening and commenting
